When seasons change and daylight fades,
Nature takes on somber views.
I find myself in this Season of Hopeful Expectation.
I am not waiting, for waiting implies the here and now.
No, it is with Hopeful Expectation that
I look to God's future fulfillment - Eternal Life.
That is where my heart finds and rests in contentment.
Little do the physical trials of life affect me,
For these are momentary and passing.
I embrace them as cherished possessions from God.
My very soul cries out for His return, when we will
Realize the fulfillment of His eternal designs.
For through God's Divine Providence and Will,
We do not wait, rather, we fully expect the
Glories of heaven upon His return,
- But is He not already with us! -
In Hopeful Expectation, spiritual desires are
answered, Human doubts are no more.
Whatever my condition, Hopeful Expectation
Enlivens and fills the passing moments with
The promise of heavenly rewards.
Yes, Glory to God in both the highest and
Most desperate reaches of my existence!
For my God graced human condition will
Exalt in His promised and most blessed return as I
Prepare the way in Hopeful Expectation!
