Aqua lateris Christi, lava me (Water from the side of Christ, wash me)

It is finished.
Scourged and Crucified,
The pericardium pierced,
A stream of living water
Flowed from His side.
The name of this stream is
Called Totality.
From the beginning of creation
To this very moment in time
Death has been conquered,
Salvation is complete.
This final sign of his death
Is a sign of our eternal life.
Our daily dying brings us
Closer to the life to come.
Through the Eucharist,
Communion with His
Body and Blood,
We become and continue this
Stream of Living water for others
And Graciously exclaim,

“Aqua lateris Christi, lava me”
